One person writes these guides. Meet the author.

PetitNid is developed and published by MABE STUDIO, a French company. The website’s guides and the app are written by the same person.

Benoit Bruynbroeck

Benoit builds PetitNid and founded MABE STUDIO, which publishes the app. He designs the app, writes the guides and answers support requests. He is not a healthcare professional: the guides share information published by health authorities; they do not produce recommendations.

Each guide shows his name, its publication or update date and the date of its next planned review.

The method

Where does the information come from?

Only public sources from health authorities and professional organisations: WHO, Haute Autorité de santé, ANSES, ameli.fr, Santé publique France, mpedia (AFPA) and 1000 premiers jours. Each guide lists the pages consulted. A guide with fewer than two such sources is not published. Many of these sources describe French recommendations; country-specific guidance is identified in the English guides.

How are guides kept up to date?

Each guide has a planned review date. When an official recommendation changes, the text is corrected and its update date changes.

Does a healthcare professional review the guides?

Not yet. We do not claim external clinical validation. If a paediatric nurse or midwife reviews a guide in the future, they will be named on the guide concerned.

What these guides do not provide

Medical advice

The guides provide general ranges and background information. They do not diagnose conditions. If you are concerned about your baby’s health, speak to their paediatrician, doctor or local child health service (PMI in France).

Instructions you must follow

Every baby has their own rhythm. General information helps you understand a situation; it does not tell you what you must do. The guides aim to support you, without judgement.
